Sales Policy

Kid Reservations and Sales Policy:

Thank you so much for your interest in our goats! Our Mission is to breed and produce animals that conform to the Nigerian Dwarf Breed standard to be correct and productive as well as equally at home in the show ring or the milk room.

We maintain a free reservation list. Our kids will be posted on this website's sales page and on our Facebook page when they are available. Please check our breeding schedule for our current breeding plans.

We cannot guarantee that a particular doe will conceive (settle) or have the desired sex of the kid you are hoping for. If your reserved doe does not produce the requested sex, you may switch your reservation to another do IF ONE IS AVAILABLE.

  • If you’re interested in reserving a kid from a particular doe, please contact me to be added to the free reservation list at rocknrosefarm@gmail.com

  • Once a reserved kid is born, half the purchase price is due as a non-refundable deposit within 5 days of notification.

  • Wethers cannot be reserved based on eye and/or coat color.

  • All non-reserved kids will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

  • Kid prices are $200 and up for wethers (or 2 for $350 and up), and start at $500 and up for registered breeding stock that includes ADGA registration.

  • Please read our sales policy thoroughly before reserving a kid.

~ We do not take reservations based on eye and/or coat color for any of our stock. ~

Rock N Rose Farm reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding at any time regardless of reservations. At any time you choose to sell a doe or buck you purchased from us, we request that you contact us for first right of refusal.

Once a kid is born, we will contact the reservation holders. Once notified, the buyer must place a non-refundable deposit of half the price of the kid within 5 days. If you change your mind we will move to the next person on the list. After 5 days, if the deposit is not received, the kid will be offered to the next person on the reservation list or listed for sale. The balance is due before the kid leaves the premises. All available kids will be posted on our Facebook page and Sales page as they come available and after reservations are filled.

Our kids are raised as bottle babies which makes them friendlier and more social, plus it helps our dams to be more cooperative during milking. What this means for you is our babies can be ready to go, on the bottle, to go home at 4 weeks old if you have experience raising bottle babies. We recommend first-time goat owners wait until the kids are at least 8 weeks of age. Kids that are not picked up within 30 days of notification will be re-listed for sale and all payments already made will be forfeit unless prior arrangements are made. If you would like us to keep a kid until weaning at 8 weeks old, an additional non-refundable fee of $100 per kid will be added to the purchase price.

Reservations on an adult animal will be held for 30 days, with half of the purchase price due as a deposit to hold the animal while pick-up or transportation arrangements are being made. Any animal will still be considered for sale until the deposit is received. The balance will be due in full before any animal leaves our property. Adult animals that are not picked up within 30 days of purchase/deposit, will be relisted for sale and you will forfeit your deposit unless other arrangements have been made with us.

We will not sell anyone single kids unless you already have other goats at your home. Goats are highly social herd animals and need the company of other goats.

Wethers: If you are seeking pet goats, rather than show animals, we recommend buying neutered males as pet wethers. We will have pet wethers available for $200+ each. We will discount the price if 2 are purchased. Check our sales page for availability. We will establish a reservation list for wethers and they will be filled in the order received. We will not take wether reservations based on coat or eye color.

All of our kids will be disbudded, tattooed and up to date on CD&T (if age appropriate) and ADGA registration papers. Wethers will not be registered.

Once a kid leaves our farm, it is the new owner's responsibility to provide the needed care and attention to create a thriving environment and socialize your kid. Our goats are guaranteed healthy at the time of sale. We are not responsible for the health of any animal once it leaves our farm, because we can not control the stress of shipping and the animal’s management and environment after it leaves our care, we cannot offer further health guarantees and we will NOT extend the guarantee. In the event a genetic defect is found after the animal has left our farm, and has been verified/documented by a licensed veterinarian, a replacement in the form of another kid either from the same year or the next year's kidding season will be provided. Examples of genetic problems include, but are not limited to, extra teats or sterility. There is no monetary refund for genetic defects.

Shipping and transportation is at the buyers expense - all expenses, including shipping, travel crate, veterinary health check, health certificate, and any further testing (required by you or the state you live in) are the buyers financial responsibility and not included in the purchase price.

We accept Cash, Venmo, ApplePay and PayPal. No checks accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse any sale at any time for any reason.
